On February 7, 1942, Harold was married to LaVaughn Rastede at St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Hooper. They lived on her family farm east of Scribner where they farmed and fed cattle. In 1982, Harold and LaVaughn moved into Scribner.
Harold has remained a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where he had been involved in many of it's activities. He had also been involved in the Co-op, the Dodge County Farm Bureau, and he served on the Scribner City Council for 12 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife LaVaughn in March of 2008, and by his brother Vernon, and by 3 sisters, Mildred, Berniece, and Erline.

The funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday (May 29th) at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (north of Hooper) with the Rev. Judy Johnson. The committal will be in the church cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Scribner Rescue Squad, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and the Good Samaritan Center.
Visitation at the Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel will be on Tuesday (May 28th) from 3 to 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
