Jason was born June 23, 1959 in West Point, NE. to Charles (Red) and Joan 'Weaver' Coe. He was raised in Scribner and graduated from Scribner High School in 1977. After high school Jason worked at the popcorn plant in North Bend. He then went to Smeal Manufacturing in Snyder, NE. While working on the floor at Smeal's Jason began taking classes at Metro Tech Community College and eventually received an Associates Degree in Information Technology. After receiving his Associates Degree he moved into the computer department and became the head of the I.T. department. After having lived in Scribner his whole life, where he belonged at one time to the Scribner Jaycee's, he moved to Hooper in 2004 with Robin and her sons. Jason also belonged to the LC Forum Motorcycle group.

Jason was preceded in death by his father Charles (Red).
The memorial service will be 10:30am Wednesday at the United Church of Christ in Scribner. Pastor Larry Jirsak will officiate. Burial will follow in the Scribner Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Colon Cancer Research. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm at Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel in Hooper.
