They returned to Iowa where Floyd was on the police force in Audubon until 1962. He also was with the Volunteer Fire Dept. in Audubon. Then they moved to Fremont in 1962 where Floyd was with the police force until he went with the Dodge County Sheriff's Dept. where he became the chief deputy and investigator. Later, he worked for the Fremont Dept. of Utilities until retiring.
Floyd was a member of The Presbyterian Church in Fremont. He was also a member of VFW Post 854 and American Legion Post 20 in Fremont. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Audubon, Iowa, the Masonic York Rite Bodies in Audubon, and Tangier Shrine Center of Omaha, and he was a Past Patron of Arbor Vitae Chapter 92 Order of Eastern Star of Fremont.

Floyd was preceded in death by a brother, and infant daughter, a grandson, and 2 sons-in-law.
The committal in Memorial Cemetery will be at 1 PM Monday (April 16th) with Military Honors by the Fremont Honor Guard of VFW Post 854 and American Legion Post 20. This will be followed by a service at 2 PM at The Presbyterian Church (Linden & Nye Ave) with the Rev. Jon Ashley officiating. Memorials are suggested to The Presbyterian Church.
Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be on Sunday from 2 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.

Omaha, Ne Saturday, April 14, 2012 Shirley and fanily, Floyd first came into my life while I worked at the YMCA. He was staying there until the rest of the family joined him in Fremont.
