Eunice M. Fuhr

Eunice was born May 8, 1921 in Bristow, Nebraska to Carl and Alma (Anderson) Thorell. She grew up in the Bristow area, attending country school, and graduating from Bristow High School in 1938. She attended Luther College in Wahoo and Wayne State College.

She taught in rural school district 27 and also at Malmo, and in a rural school near Neleigh.

On August 24, 1947, Eunice Thorell was married to Joe Fuhr. Eunice taught in the Hawthorne School in Lincoln for a year while Joe finished his senior year at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Then they lived 9 years in Beatrice and now over 50 years in Fremont.

Eunice was an active member of Sinai Lutheran Church. She was also a library aid for several years at Davenport School.

Bernice Chandler of Fremont
Helen McDaniel of Lakewood, Colorado

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.

A memorial service will held at Sinai Lutheran Church at 11 AM on Tuesday (March 6, 2012). A private committal will be in Ridge Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Lutheran Family Services and Sinai Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.
