died early Thursday morning (March 24, 2016) in Nye Legacy, Fremont.
She was born February 28, 1929 in Boelus, Nebraska to Lawrence and Edna (Lang) Ibsen. She moved with her family in 1940 to the Ames area, and graduated from high school in Hooper in 1947.
On October 16, 1948, Marjorie was married to Norman Jorgensen in the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church (northwest of Fremont). The couple farmed northwest of Fremont for many years, and later operated a Merry Maids cleaning service until 1993 when they retired.
She was a member of Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church where she had been very active. She had been President and educational leader of the ELCA, active in choir, Sunday School teacher, the Stephens Ministry, and served as the Lutheran Brotherhood Branch Communicator. And she was a member of the Sugar & Spice Extension Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norman in October of 2010, a daughter Kathy, a granddaughter Katy Cramer, and brothers-in-law Paul Larsen and Junior Gregerson

The memorial service will be 10:30 AM Saturday (March 26th) in the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church (northwest of Fremont) with Pastor Sean Tyler. Burial will be in the Bluffs Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for distribution. The family will receive friends Friday (today) at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont from 5pm to 8pm.
