Robert G. Muller age 94, of Fremont
Died Wednesday December 14, 2016 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont

Robert was born February 5, 1922 on the family farm in rural Scribner to Adolph and Bertha 'Osterloh' Muller. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Hooper. He attended District #36 school and graduated from Scribner High School in 1939 and later moved to a farm north of Hooper with his parents. On April 3, 1945 he married Virgene Dietz of Snyder at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Robert served on the school board of District #18 and on the church council at St. Paul's. After 33 years, he and Virgene retired from farming and moved to Fremont in March of 1978. He then worked for Johnson Furniture World delivering furniture for a number of years. He was a long time active member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters-in-law, Clinton (Marjorie) Muller of Cape Girardeau, MO. and Milton (Verona) Muller of Scribner; sister and brother-in-law Ila Jean (Gerald) Volpp of Sedalia, MO.; brother-in-law Ellwood Dietz of Scribner and infant granddaughter Heather Hass.

Robert is survived by his wife Virgene of 71 years, daughters, Shirley (William) Paulus of Suffield, Ohio and Sharon (Ron) Mueller of Fremont. Grandson, Eric (Kathy) Heimburger of Staten Island, NY. Granddaughters, Dr. Angela (Shane) Sukstorf of Fremont, Sara (Scott) Capps of Elkhorn and Cassandra (Joshua) Ladenburger of Omaha. Step granddaughter, Tina (Dr. Barrett) Schmidt of Fremont. Great grandchildren, Joseph and Matthew Heimburger; Anna Sukstorf; Lauren and Blake Dreyer; and Makena, Chase and Reid Ladenburger. Step great grandchildren Ashley (Gavin) Petersen, Jules and Barron Schmidt. Step great great granddaughter Hadley Petersen.

The funeral will be 11am Monday December 19, at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont. Rev. Michael Thomas and Rev. Clayton Skurdahl officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the family for later designation. Visitation will be Sunday from 2pm to 7pm with the family present from 5pm to 7pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.

    Im so so sorry to hear of your loss. It is really hard to lose a grandparent. He always had a smile on his face when he would run into Angie's goofy high school friends. He knew we were all a bunch of silly girls. It was always a warm feeling to see Angie's grandparents up in the stands when we played volleyball and basketball. Many prayers and hugs to the family.
