Patty A. Diers - Kruse, age 81, of Fremont, died Monday, May 2, 2022
at Pathfinder Place after a long battle with dementia.

Patty was born January 2, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Alfred and Lillian Walsh. Thereafter, her family moved to Fremont. Patty graduated from the former St. Patrick's High School in Fremont. Employment started in her family's restaurant located in Elkhorn, Nobby's Truck Stop and Café. Most of her years were spent working at Capri Restaurant in Fremont and Harr's Restaurant in Waterloo. Later in life, Patty married Irwin Kruse where they resided in Bennington and maintained a lake house in Woodcliff. After Irwin passed away, Patty lived full time at the lake. After retiring, she enjoyed holidays, entertaining, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Shelly (John) Riggs of Linwood and Donielle (Jim) Villwok of Rowlett, TX. Grandchildren, Coleman (Whitney) Riggs, Emily (Jordan) Workman, Jade and Drake Villwok. Great-Grandchildren, Ian and Gavin Riggs, John Workman.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Irwin, parents, sisters Donna Burt and Barb Goldberg, also her beloved fish ''Gill''.

The celebration of Patty's life open house, will be May 28th at the lake house at Woodcliff beginning at 2pm.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
