You know, life is strange. I attended East Aurora schools from 4th through 9th grade. Lyda and I were in Young, Bardwell, and Junior High together. Growing up in Aurora in the 40s was sweet and safe. We rode bikes and played out all day and life was over-arched by the beautiful American Elms of the city. Now and then I would think of the kids I knew on the East side...LOVED. Life was good. A few moments ago as I was sitting here, Lyda's name came to mind...and here I am, 3 years too late, but because of your service to others, I found a dear friend from many years ago. Thank you for that. Bittersweet, you know. Love and blessings to all of those of the class of '57. My move to the West side never diminished my memories of you. Rest well, sweet Lyda.
