Died Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont
LeRoy was born July 10, 1937 at his grandparent's farm near Newman Grove, NE, to Harold and Myrtle (Wallin) Nickolaison. He spent his younger years in Newman Grove and Marshalltown IA, before moving to Fremont. LeRoy graduated from Fremont High School in 1955. LeRoy's working years were spent mostly at Warrick-Hawkinson Tread Services. He also worked for Gamble's warehouse before finishing his working years back at Warrick-Hawkinson.
LeRoy married Cathlene Martin on January 6, 1956, to whom he was very dedicated. His family was very important to him as well. He always had time to visit with family and friends. He loved to shoot pool with his son Kris and with his pool team. He and Kris are the only father/son to win an Eagles doubles state championship. He worked on many cars in his days - both mechanical and restoring. He was a big Husker fan.
LeRoy was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #200 of Fremont and the Fremont Presbyterian Church.

Paul (Mary Jane) Martin of Colorado
Sister-in-law - Carol Martin of Fremont
LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
The funeral will be 10am, Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery northwest of Newman Grove. Memorials may be directed to the family. Visitation will be Thursday from 3pm to 7pm with the family present from 4pm to 7pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.
