Sheryl L. Bode, age 68, of Fremont
Died Monday, November 27, 2023 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont

Sheryl was born April 25, 1955 in Fremont to Francis and Betty 'Dorfmeyer' Hurt. She was raised in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School in 1973. After high school Sheryl worked at Dodge County Attorney's office, Equitable Federal Bank, Irv's Deli before beginning a 20 year career at CF Industries in Fremont.

Sheryl married Keith Bode on October 23, 1976 at First Lutheran Church in Fremont. After her marriage and while she was working, she started attending classes at Metro Community College and eventually received her associates degree.

Sheryl was a member of Pohocco Lutheran Church and served on the church council. She also served as a board member of District 11 School.

Husband - Keith of Fremont
Son - Chris Bode of Franklin, NE.
Daughter - BreAnn (Larry) Hangman of Fremont
Grandchildren - Zack and Riley Bode, Hayden and Morgan Hangman
Sisters - Sally (Terry) Christ of Cedar Bluffs
Deana Vyhlidal of Fremont
Brother-in-law - Merlyn Bode of Fremont
Sister-in-law - Jane (Myron) Fischer of Fremont
nieces and nephews

Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law Joan Beck.

The memorial service will be 2pm, Friday, December 1, 2023 at Pohocco Lutheran Church south of Fremont. Burial will be in Pohocco Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
