Darlene Opal Doll, age 93, was called to her eternal home on Thursday, July 25, 2024 in Fremont.

She was born December 22, 1930 to Henry J. and Opal Neuhaus in Omaha. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Immanuel Evangelical church near Bennington. After graduating from Benson High School, she worked in accounting for the Omaha Streetcar Company. On March 7, 1953 she married Ivan G Doll. They farmed for 12 years near Papillion, then moved north of Arlington in 1965 where they farmed for the remainder of their years together.

Darlene was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Fremont. She spent many years leading Bible studies and was active in Bible Study Fellowship. She was a Red Cross volunteer for years. She loved playing cards of any sort and always looked forward to the annual Doll Mahoney weekend.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, in 2000, her parents, her brother, and her granddaughter-in-law.

Those who remain and rejoice in her life are her children: Nancy (Dale) Hilgenkamp, Peggy (Steve) Pribnow, and Gary (Annette) Doll. Also, ten grandchildren - Amy (Jeff) Hartman, Laurie (Andrew) Hock, Anne (Ryan) Morris, Emily (Greg) Dickson, Audrey Pribnow, Heather (Lex) Hull, John Pribnow, Jacob Pribnow, Aaron Doll, and Michael Doll, along with 16 great-grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be 10 a.m. August 9, at Peace Lutheran Church. Visitation will be August 8, at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont from 3-8p.m. with family present 6-8pm. Private family burial at a later time.

    I was very very sorry to hear of your mother’s passing Gary. There was a strength in her that made me think she’d be here forever. She was always so welcoming whenever I’d see her. I listened to her service online. It was beautiful. Blessings to you and all your family.
