Marilyn J. Villwok, age 75 of Missouri Valley, IA., passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2024, with her daughter by her side.

Marilyn was born May 5, 1949 to Vernon and Angela 'Tichota' Metschke. She was raised on the family farm in rural Snyder and graduated from Snyder High School in 1967. Shortly after graduating, she married Veryl Villwok. They eventually moved to West Point, and lived there several years before moving to an acreage between West Point and Scribner. Marilyn loved to garden, both flowers and vegetables. They also raised a variety of animals on the acreage, including horses, which Marilyn loved to ride. Marilyn and Veryl later divorced and she moved to Denver CO. While living in Denver, she enjoyed playing Bingo and hiking in the mountains. She lived in Denver until moving to a skilled nursing facility in Missouri Valley in 2022 to be closer to family. For many years, Marilyn supported numerous different charities including Boys Town and several animal welfare organizations.

Survivors:
Daughter - Dawn (Matt) Joerg of Mondamin, IA.
Son - Tracy Villwok of Logan, IA.
Granddaughter - Autumn of Hannah WY.
Sister-in-law - Linda Metschke of Lincoln
Many nephews and nieces.
Special Friends - Kevyn, Mark and Sarah all of Lakewood CO

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Ralph and Marvin Metschke.

The memorial service will be 1pm, Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Scribner Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
