He was born November 20, 1945, in Fremont to Carroll and Rebecca 'Wedberg' Day. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1963 and attended UNL for 2 years. He returned to Fremont to farm and married Alice Kuper on December 4, 1965. He graduated from Midland College in 1968.
Carson farmed all his life on a farm east of Fremont. It was there that Carson and Alice raised their four daughters.
Carson is survived by his wife Alice of 58 years, daughters Michelle (Tracy) Beran, their children Nathan (Sydney) and Allie (Drew) Madsen; Stacy Harbaugh and children Sydney and Gage; Terri McNulty and children Mariah (Dalton), Abby (Derrick), and Hunter; Niki (Dwayne) Jesse and their children Karsen and Reese. He also had 6 great grandchildren who lovingly called him Big Papa.
There is no viewing but the family will receive friends at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel, Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm. The memorial service will be 10:30am, Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Fremont. He will be laid to rest at Ridge Cemetery beside his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to First Lutheran Church.
