Haymarket, VA Sunday, August 10, 2025 My Dad, John Thomas, was Delores first cousin. His mother was Hank Prestons older sister. As we traveled over the years to Iowa and spent time with my grandmother and with Uncle Hank and Aunt Blanche, as well as living with Wayne and Carol Preston for a summer, I got to know Delores. In the subsequent years we stayed in touch via Facebook and an occasional messenger note. She was always gracious and so very kind. Upon my parents passing she reached out and was extremely thoughtful. She was truly a family gem, so sorry to hear you all have lost her but I am sure she will long be remembered very fondly.Linda (Schlueter) Bechtel
