I served in the Army.
Dennis R. Dahl, age 87, of Scribner
Died Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hillside Villa in West Point.

Dennis was born to Alfred and Norma Dahl on August 10, 1937 in Fremont, Nebraska. Both parents preceded him in death, along with his brother Merle and sister-in-law Marian.

Dennis was baptized on September 12, 1937 at St. John's Ridgley church and was also confirmed there as well. After graduation from Scribner High School in 1955, he joined the Army stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. During his time at Fairbanks, Dennis played football at Ladd Air Force Base. After his service, he returned to Scribner. On March 8, 1959 he married Loree Muller at St. Johns's CCL. Two children were born to them, Dianna and David. Dennis served on the church council at St. John's, and was a member there throughout his life.

Dennis enjoyed bowling with the church team, playing fast-pitch softball with various teams, and was a wicked ping-pong player.

Dennis farmed until he and Loree moved to Scribner in 1992, and continued farming with his son David for years after that.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Loree, daughter Dianna (Mark) Cupps, their children Amanda Cabrera and Ryan Elder; David (Shelly) Dahl, their children Bret Dahl, Emily (Corby) Hoff, and Christopher Dahl, along with eight great-grandchildren.
