Lincoln, Ne Tuesday, February 8, 2011 My mom Erna Schmidt, would have been 101 on March 3, 2011. She and Ethel were first cousins and very close in age growing up. I visted with Ethel a number of years ago when my sister-in-law, Grace Thernas was in the same care center as Ethel. We had a nice visit. Ethel's mother was a sister to my Grandpa Schmidt so over the years we got to see them. My grandpa was a great one for having family reunions on the home place near Fremont where all the Schmidts were born. I have many wonderful memories from long ago of those family reunions. Memories are wonderful things and no one can take them away from you.
