Marcella was born Febr. 20, 1921 on the family farm southwest of Scribner to Ernest and Martha (Draemel) Stuehmer. She attended rural school district 66, and graduated from Scribner High School in 1938. Then she taught in rural school districts 29, 30, and 12.

On December 30, 1941 Marcella was married to Wilber H. Paasch in St. John's Ridgeley Lutheran Church, rural Scribner. They farmed west of Scribner until retirement. He husband Wilber died on March 21, 1993.

Marcella was a member of the United Lutheran Church of Scribner and a member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. She was a past president of the Scribner Women's Club.

Marcella was preceded in death by husband Wilber, her parents Ernest and Martha Stuehmer,
and a brother Lloyd Stuehmer.

The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday (January 3, 2011) in the United Lutheran Church in Scribner with the Rev. Dr. Nicki McIntyre officiating. The committal will be in the Scribner Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the United Lutheran Church and Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska.

Visitation at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel in Scribner, Nebraska, will be on Sunday (Jan. 2nd) from 3 to 8 PM, with the family present from 3 to 6 PM. Visitation will continue Monday morning at the church in Scribner for an hour before the service.
