June was born June 17, 1917 with twin sister Junis, in Oakland, Nebraska to John and Laura (Johnson) Frederikson. She grew up on the farm in the Swaburg area and graduated from Uehling High School.

On September 29, 1942, June was married to Eugene L. Johnson in Swaburg. The couple farmed in Burt County until 1990. June had been very active in the Elim Church (Swaburg) and with many womens groups, she loved people and they loved her. In 1991 they moved into Fremont where they enjoyed playing cards, developing new friendships and other social events. June and Eugene enjoyed bowling for more than 45 years, and between individual and team awards, they amassed more than 100 trophies.

A former member of Elim Lutheran Church of Swaburg (rural Hooper), June had been a member of Sinai Lutheran Church in Fremont.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene in November of 2004, as well as 4 sisters: Ruth at age 7, twin sister Junis (Mrs. Donald Johnson) and two older sister, Cora (Mrs. Ed Mallette) and Ervie (Mrs. Roy Daubert)

Survivors: son - Jerry and wife Karen Johnson of Kimberling City, Missouri
4 grandchildren - Jonathan Johnson of Seattle, Washington
Mike and wife Vicki McNealy of Louisville, Nebraska
Patrick and wife Jeanette McNealy of Albuquerque, New Mexico
Kim and husband Ed Timmons of Gutherie, Oklahoma
3 great grandchildren - Miranda and Mikayla McNealy and Aubrey Timmons.

The funeral service will be 10:30am Thursday December 30 at Elim Lutheran Church, Swaburg. Burial will follow in the Elim Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Elim Lutheran Church and the Alzheimers Association. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3pm to 8pm with the family receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.
