On May 14, 1939, Meta was married in the parsonage of St. Paul's Lutheran Church to John Breithaupt. They lived in Fremont most of their married years.
During her working years, Meta had worked for Rogers Tent & Awning in Fremont during the war years. She also worked for the Fremont Hatchery, Arbor Manor for several years, she did sewing, and she volunteered at the Trinity Lutheran Day Care.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Meta was preceded in death by her husband John in April of 1961, and by her daughter Verda Brandert, and by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

The funeral service will be 2 PM Friday (January 25, 2013) at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dan Heuer. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, on Thursday from 2 to 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
