Max was born September 13, 1934 in Farragut, Iowa to Harry and Alice (Peterson) Foster. He grew up on the farm in southwest Iowa. In the beginning of his working career, he worked as an auditor of utility companies.
Then he went into the ministry. He graduated from the Ozark Bible College. He served churches in California before coming to Nebraska where he served a church in Valparaiso and then the First Congregational Church in Wahoo.

He retired from the ministry, and moved to Fremont in 1992, where he had his own advertising agency.

On May 14, 1973, Max was married in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Linda Isenhart.

Max was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and a granddaughter.

The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Tuesday (Febr. 12, 2013) at the Church of the Nazarene (Military & Johnson Road) with the Rev. Tom Shaw. The committal will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for distribution.

Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary will be today (Monday, Febr. 11th) from 4 to 8 PM, and at the church on Tuesday for an hour before the service.
