Lucille was born on May 20, 1919 in Winslow, Nebraska to John and Alvina (Bohling) Langewisch. She attended school district 85 in Winslow, then attended school in Hooper for the 11th and 12th grades, graduating in 1936.
On October 30, 1938, Lucille was married in Omaha in the First Lutheran Church to Martin 'Bud' Dorfmeyer. They farmed in the Hooper area and moved into Hooper in 1983. He husband died in May of 1987. They were long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooper. Lucille belonged to St. John's ladies LWML and the Dorcas sewing circle. She also taught Sunday School there. Following the recent closing of St. John's Church, she became a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Scribner.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Martin 'Bud', a sister Mabel Rasmussen, and twin infant brothers, and her parents John and Alvina Langewisch.
The funeral service will be 10 AM Wednesday (January 15, 2014) at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner with the Rev. Bruce Schut. The committal will follow in St. John's Cemetery near Hooper. Visitation will be at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel in Scribner on Tuesday (Jan. 14th) from 3 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
Memorials are suggested to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
