Robert 'Bob' Hoffman, age 73, of Fremont;
died Thursday (January 9, 2014)
in the A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont

He was born August 15, 1940 in Fremont to Everette and Mary (Haney) Hoffman. Bob grew up on a farm east of Fremont. He graduated from high school in North Bend in 1958 after receiving most of his education in Fremont.

At the age of 20, he began working in the masonry and concrete business. He worked for various companies, including Sawyer Construction and Rabe Brothers, both in Fremont. Then in 1973, Bob started his own 'Hoffman Masonry and Cement' business. He dedicated his life to the success of his business until retiring in 2012.

Bob loved taking care of his lawn, and watching auto racing and sports.

Survivors: son Steve and Kay Hoffman of Fremont
brother Rodney and Linda Hoffman of Mesa, Arizona

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everette and Mary, a son Mark, 2 brothers, Ken and Larry.

The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Tuesday (Jan. 14, 2014) at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel, Fremont. The committal will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel will be on Monday (Jan. 13th) from 2 to 8 PM with the family present from 6 to 8 PM.
