Jerry was born December 17, 1950 to Kenneth and Emily (Durkop) Snide. He grew up in the Fremont/Valley area, graduating from high school in Valley in 1969. Then he attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

He farmed with his parents and brother, and he and his brother continued farming after their parents retired.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father Kenneth.

The funeral service will be 10 AM Saturday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel, Fremont. A lunch will follow, and then the committal will be in the Cedar Dale Cemetery near Papillion. Memorials are suggested to the Elkhorn Valley Antique Power Association.

Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be Friday from 3 to 8 PM.

    Joan and I want to express our deepest sympathy with your loss of Jerry. Over more than 30 years I knew Jerry, I always considered Jerry a friend. I enjoyed our conversations whether business or social. I remember a lot of discussions on history of International Harvester models of tractors and implements. There is no doubt Jerry will be missed by all who knew him.
