Lincoln, NE Wednesday, February 26, 2014 So sorry to hear the news of Nora passing, over the years we enjoyed her company camping and in her back yard BBQ's and Country Music Jam Sessions. I know she will be missed by all who knew her and we hope the family can find comfort in knowing she meant so much to so many. We were able to be there on Monday Feb. 24, 2014 but due to a family illness we could not make the funeral on Tuesday. We hope soon the family will be able to overcome this loss and fondly cherish the time she shared so openly with everyone she came into contact with. Red Oak, IA Monday, February 24, 2014 I met your Mother in 1976 when I began dating my husband Ron, who was playing in her band, Nora Porter & the Prophets. We spent many years together at band gigs & practices. Nora was an amazingly, delightful woman with a beautiful voice. I cherish many special times together & still think of her often as I continue to help Ron pack up his drums. Watching & listening to her make beautiful music was a gift she gave to me & many others. Her beautiful voice singing, "Don't it make you brown eyes blue" will always be a cherished memory. May you also have many cherished memories to comfort each of you. Sincerely with much love, Kathy KloewerAlan Anderson
, NE Sunday, February 23, 2014 Nora was a wonderful person, and will be missed. I learned so much from her (NOT playing all of those 6th chords for one thing!). She jokingly called me 'hands' Anderson - she was the great one! I worked with Nora for a short while from around '75 - '79 (or something like that). Peace be with you all.Mike Schwery
