Jo Ann M. Obermiller age 82, of Fremont,
passed away Tuesday (February 25, 2014) in the A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont, surrounded by her family.

Jo Ann was born to Leona and Carl Hagstrom on November 9, 1931 in Wahoo, Nebraska. She graduated from Luther Academy in Wahoo in 1949, and later graduated from cosmetology school in Lincoln, Nebraska.

On July 15, 1951, Jo Ann was married to Wayne Obermiller in Wahoo.

She was a former member and past president of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary.

Jo Ann was a devoted wife, mother, and a loving grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wayne, and by her children; Barbara (husband Lynn) Murer, Scott (wife Stephanie) Obermiller, all of Hooper, Nebraska; her grandchildren; Brett Robeson, Amy (husband Kent) Johnson, all of Omaha, Lily Kinkade of Fremont, Madison Obermiller of Hooper; great grandchildren, Ladd and Cole Johnson, Olivia and Evie Kinkade.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents and son Jerry.

A memorial service will be 11 AM Saturday (March 1st) in the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel, Fremont, with Rev. Scott Jensen and C.H. Hagstrom. There is no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family for distribution. Committal will be at a later date.
