died Thursday, June 6, 2024 Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.
Janice was born February 8, 1937 in Sabetha, Kansas to Rudolph and Margaret 'Strube' Brunner. She was raised in Oneida, Kansas and graduated from Edgerton High School in 1955. After high school, Janice worked for a short time as a phone operator in Kansas City. Janice married Lyle Grubb on June 2, 1962 in Fairview, Kansas. After living in Horton, Kansas they moved to Fremont in 1964. Janice was a homemaker while her two children were young. She worked at Vienna Bakery before beginning a long career working in the transportation department for the Fremont Public Schools.
Janice was an avid bowler, her nickname was ''Bomber'', and was a member of the Fremont Bowlers Hall of Fame. She was also a former member of the Fremont Rural Fire Department Auxiliary. The most important thing in her life though, was her family. Janice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Amanda (Brandon) James and their family Alex and Scarlett

Sister - June Winger of Augusta, KS.
Sister-in-law - Rosemary Terry of Canton, MI.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband Lyle in 2010, daughter-in-law Barbara Grubb, 3 sisters Jean Pardee, Vauncille ''Pooch'' Barrett and Pat Nobis.
The funeral will be 10:30am, Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont, burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm with the family present 6pm to 8pm.
