He was born September 26, 1934 in Fremont to Alfred and Hazel (Drake) Clayton. He grew up in Fremont.
During his working years he owned a tree service business and he also had a roofing company.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters, and his parents.
The funeral service will be 10 AM Monday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont with the committal to follow in Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. Visitation will Sunday from 2pm to 4pm and also on Monday at the mortuary for an hour before the service. Memorials may be given to the family for distribution.
