Omaha, NE Monday, June 2, 2014 What a nice lady. I don't think we ever went to town without stopping at the variety store. I have very fond memories of Alice helping us with any of our needs. I was a really shy kid and Alice was always very patient with me. What great memories.Trudy Lamberty Meyer

, TX Wednesday, May 21, 2014 Many fond memories of Alice at the variety store. She always had a smile one her face and was very patient with kids as they counted out their change for a piece of candy or toy! My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this sad time.Jeri (Hilbers) Janecek
Dodge, NE Wednesday, May 21, 2014 Alice was one of the most wonderful people that I knew growing up. Going to Lamberty Variety Store for bulk candy weighed and put in a sack was wonderful. She always had a smile and a hug for all who needed a special present. I loved watching her take such care wrapping and curling the ribbon for that ever important gift. Alice you gave great joy to all and I will thank God for sharing you with me.Kenny and Sally Thomas
Scribner, NE Wednesday, May 21, 2014 What great memories we have of Alice. As little kids, we would walk barefoot up to the Dime Store for candy or a gift for mom or dad or a birthday party. Alice was always so kind to us. Once she explained to us how the bulk candy scale worked. Another time she showed us how the bow making machine worked. More recently, when I would visit my dad at the villa, she was always sitting at the table doing a puzzle. I enjoyed our visits. Our sympathies go out to her family. May your memories of her get you through this sad time.Larry B. Moeller
Omaha, NE Monday, May 19, 2014 Alice was such an important person to SO MANY Scribner kids. While we were growing up in the area, she worked at Lamberty's dime store where all the Candy and Baseball Cards could be bought. She was my jelly bean supplier back when the candy was weighed and put into a bag. Alice was generous, humorous and kid-friendly. We trusted her to take good care of us. My sister Sandra worked with her at the dime store and loved her also. Great Lady to Celebrate!
